We’ve known for some time that RIM planned on making the BlackBerry App World webstore more functional with login options but we didn’t know when it would happen. Today these new features have been quietly implemented on the App World webstore allowing a user to manage their My World and BlackBerry ID info online through a PC web browser. Here’s the description of App World on your computer:
The BlackBerry App World™ storefront on your computer allows you to search for and download items to your BlackBerry® device. From BlackBerry App World, you can browse featured and top downloaded items, such as games, social networking applications, and productivity applications. You can view items by category and search by keyword. You can also read and write reviews and recommend items to others.You can buy and download items from the BlackBerry App World storefront on your computer and install the items on your BlackBerry device. Items that you buy or download are stored on the My World page in the BlackBerry App World storefront on your computer.
In order to download and install apps through a PC web browser you’ll need to install this plugin.
